A Message From Our President
Mahogany Bowers President, Coastal Gullah Geechee & Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce
Mahogany Bowers is a respected community leader, TEDx speaker, international speaker, author, entrepreneur, business owner, and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience in media, public engagement, and community advocacy. A native of Savannah, Georgia, and a proud Gullah Geechee descendant, she is deeply committed to preserving the cultural heritage, traditions, stories, and economic contributions of Gullah Geechee and Afro-Caribbean communities.
She is the founder of Blessings in a Book Bag, an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering young people and families through service, education, and community outreach for over 15 years. Through her wellness advocacy as a yoga instructor, mindfulness coach, and business Executive Director of Next Level Signature Services, Mahogany has inspired individuals and businesses locally, nationally, and internationally to pursue personal growth, professional development, and meaningful community impact.
As President of the Coastal Gullah Geechee & Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce, Mahogany leads with a vision centered on cultural preservation, entrepreneurship, advocacy, collaboration, and sustainable economic opportunity. She is committed to creating pathways that provide entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, professionals, and corporate partners with access to valuable resources, increased visibility, strategic relationships, and opportunities for growth.
Her leadership is rooted in service, legacy-building, and the belief that cultural preservation and economic development must advance together. Through education, partnerships, advocacy, and community engagement, Mahogany is helping build a Chamber that strengthens ownership, amplifies the collective voice of culturally rooted businesses, and creates lasting opportunities for future generations.
